Most people think that Cystic Fibrosis only effects the respiratory system. While CFers usually die from lung complications, almost all of the organs are effected by this genetic disease. Just a little lesson on CF for your Wednesday.

Thanks for posting this. My brother-in-law has CF and it drives us all crazy how little people know about the disease. Especially when they lump every CFer into the same category and ask terribly insensitive questions. I always remind my sister (his wife) that she needs to remember it is her everyday life and very few people even know someone with CF, so she needs to just chalk it up to ignorance and try to politely educate them. Still, it doesn't make it any easier.
