It's decided. I am going to be content with who I am. Yes, and it is starting today. I will not be afraid to wear bold colors because it makes me happy. I will not be afraid to share my beliefs because they keep me strong. I will express myself freely: with my tears, words, laughter, eyes, food, artwork, flowers, and music because I find it therapeutic. I will tell people of my triumphs and not worry that they might consider it boasting, because I know from where my strength and triumphs stem. I will share my grief because I want to help others with their own. I will do one thing that scares me each day because I know I can be better. I will savor life TODAY because pining for the past does no good. I will patiently wait for the future because the here and now is where my joy is and should be. I will pray for Heavenly Father’s love because that is when I have the energy and power to love others. I will accept my challenges no matter how sobering it may be, because I can grow. I will trust myself as a mother because she has been entrusted in my care and I know her best. I will give Brendon his space because I know he still loves me. I will forgive when I am hurt and ask for it when I hurt others. I will give people the benefit of the doubt because I hope for the same. I will love my family from afar because this is where I am supposed to be. I will trust my opinion because I think I have good tastes. I will kneel and pray out loud more often because I cannot do any of this or anything without His help. I will be me because He created me and I am His daughter.

I commit to join you. It's so easy to live a passive life. But growth and progress does not lie in the easy.
I've been thinking about this a lot. Maybe if we surround ourselves with others who do the same our pursuit will be met with more success.
